City road marking project under way in Sea Point and Mouille Point

The City of Cape Town would like to advise the public of the repainting of road markings of various roads in Sea Point and Beach Road in Mouille Point.  This forms part of the City’s regular maintenance to keep our roads safe. The work commenced in Sea Point last week, 11 November 2024 and is planned to take place until Friday, 13 December 2024, between 20:00 and 04:00, Monday to Sunday. Read more below:

The team will be repainting the road markings along Main Road between Glengariff Road and Queens Road; along Kloof Road between Main Road and Ave Le Croix Road in Sea Point and Beach Road in Mouille Point. 

‘Residents can look forward to fresh looking roads in Sea Point and Moullie Point next month. We have planned it so that none of the road marking is done during the day, but between 20:00 and 04:00 in the morning. Residents and business owners can expect some noise during this time while we are trying to get the work done after hours to minimise the impact on road users. We thank residents for their patience and support while work is under way,’ said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Urban Mobility, Councillor Rob Quintas.

The road marking services will be applied to all infrastructure including, but not limited to, road surfaces and traffic calming measures, such as raised intersections and speed humps.
